Default will a corrupt map cause...

having a wierd issue with my h2b on an s300...with no load on the engine free reving it will not climb past 7k...wont hit 2step...leave the line and she red lines every gear. its like the rpms hit a wall... changed the distributor with a new one and even checked the tps range. reason i ask if a corrupt file could cause this was before it happend i downloaded my map off the s300, put the s300 in another car with a base map to drive it somewhere then re-installed it in my car and uploaded my map again...the distributor is not oem but new...an oem is on the way though...just figured id ask the mean time

A corrupt calibration usually means the file can't be opened or the ecu won't function at all on it. I have never seen a corrupt map on a vehicle using s300.

If you download a map off a s300 module, you need to review the tune to ensure the values were properly downloaded from the ecu.

You need to monitor the air fuel ratios with a wideband and verify the tune is on target.
