which way to go
Ok I my friend recently rebuild my b16 with the following...eagle rods, srp pistons 11:1 compression, balanced aftermarket crank (don't know the brand), dual valve springs, titanium retainers, stock cams, fpr, and other minor details. But my question is if my setup will run better being tuned, I'm running a pr3 obd0 on my crx. I'm a little short on cash so my friend told me I can tune the car with the VAFC controller as an option. Is that a good idea or a waste of time? Or should I save a little to get hondata? Or should I tune the car at all? Any input from guys would great...thanks
you are on stock cams, so thats good....but you may have to retard the base timing a bit to keep the engine from detonating.
of course this is not the best way to go, but are you wanting to tune it yourself?
if you want to do it yourself, a much more cost effective way to go is eCtune or Neptune.

Both are very nice programs, however, you will need to buy a wideband as well.
