Default Some OBD0 questions...

I have chipped PM6 ECU in my 90 CRX with a built turbo D16A6. This is FAR from the first car I have tuned, but it is my first honda, so do not have much experience with chip burning and honda specific stuff.

1. Can I expect a $30 ebay willem burner to do what I need to do for the PM6? Would it work with a OBD1 ECU if I ever upgraded?

2. Should I even bother with OBD0? I really just want it to run half decent for now and I will look for features after I get used to the car as it is.

3. What do I need to log the OBD0 ecu? Is whatever cable I need compatable with a OBD1?

4. Is there anything that I can expect to be an unfixable problem with OBD0? Cold starts? Boost quirks? Limited timing control? Logging issues?

5. Can I force open loop (no narrowband o2 sensor) on this using TurboEdit?

i had boosted on 15psi for ages, 2 years on a stock z6, ran 13.1's at the track 107mph. good little setup. obd0 1 wire vtec with a pm6 ecu

i would recommend using TurboEdit. you can get the newest version at pgmfi.org. its awesome. the newest versions dominate the old versions. built in datalogging and everything!!

i would recommend getting an Ostrich so you can do real time programming and also getting a hulog so you can do datalogging. its a great combo.

i am running a chipped obd0 PR4 in my 90 CRX Si right now, with a B18A1. its running great!!

burning chips to tune is such a waste of time man... honestly RTP is worth its weight in gold! but if you must get a chip burner id say get the Moates Burn1.

i have a Willem and a moates and i dont even know where the willem is. its junk and a total POS to use with all the switches and power supply issues. waste of time. burn1 works for everything so easy.
