Default Simple tune for new header?

I currently have a JDM Type-R header on a semi-built B18C. A while ago I purchased a genuine Hytech header. I'm wondering if it is acceptable to just add the necessary fuel to keep it from going lean, as opposed to a full tune with ignition, etc. My my setup is currently tuned, and I would rather wait until I get headwork before I spend the money on a dyno tune.

Clean the plugs, run if or a couple of days then check them to see if you even need to mess with it.

Yeh, it's not likely you'll need to re-tune for that. Although, if it's the anti-reversion header you might try dropping the 5,000+ RPM timing values about 1* and see if you can squeeze a few numbers out (after you adjust the fuel). I've had positive results with that before.

It is highly unlikely that the change in the header is going to result in such a lean condition which causes danger to the engine. You should be ok to wait until you do further modification to have the tune re-done.

i agree with the guys...headers dont make much of a difference and if your going to do a dyno tune i strongly suggest u do as much as u can before u tune it so u only do it once and get the best results out of it.
