Remove chrome for honda
Its a easy question for someone that knows .
My turbo gsr is on chrome and I want to go to hondata,going to pay to have it done but my only question is can chrome be removed and Hondata installed still easily or should I just find another ecu

This is not true...
Installation of an S300 in a chipped ECU requires removal of the socket and installation of 2 rows of 14 male pins in it's place. It also requires installation of 4 male pins in position CN2 and cutting J12 for full duplex datalogging.
Removing the socket without damaging the traces requires professional tools so if the person performing the task has not done it before, I suggest you buy a virgen ECU.
I perform this type of installation (remove socket, install pins) on a daily basis and can help you if you don't have anyone locally. PM me if interested.

I guess you're right. I don't even think twice about unsoldering the socket anymore so to me it's not that big of a deal, but I guess I can see it being one for the uninitiated. A virgin ecu would be nice.
