OK so I've searched everywhere and found information about having a p73 ecu on a gsr but what about a p72 ecu on a type r motor? i know that it wont run to the best of its ability but I'm putting in a motor tomorrow and i haven't found p73 yet. i have a p28 but i need to get a basemap on there first. i would only be using it for maybe a week tops and was wondering if it would cause a lot of harm to the motor? thanks in advance for the help.
The engine will start & run on a p72 ecu.
I wouldn't recommend using the p72 other then to move the car around at partial throttle. The p72 engine has less compression & makes less power which means the map on the ecu outputs less fuel then a p73 engine would need at wide open throttle etc.

ok. yeah im not going to be ragging on it, it would only be a quick substitution until i can get a basemap on the hondata or find a p73 ecu. but if it will at least run semi decent for a day or two then thats fine. thanks for the quick response.
