obd1 pr4 vtec chip question
ok i have a pr4 obd1 board 1720 ecu, it is a manual ecu. I got the vtec chip kit from xenocrome and in the instructions it said to add q26 only if it is a p05 ecu. Im running s300 and that part is fine. but when vtec is suppose to hit, i get the 21 cel. i took a friend of mines p28 with s300 same map and vtec works fine. Just wanted to know if I haf to add that diode to the q26 for vtec to work, thank you.
Anybody got a clue .. wherea re the awesome ecu chippers.. just need to know this info...how about xenocrome.. where you at.. need your help
yes yes, you need q26 if converting the 1720 board. think pgmfi notes suggest that you can take the c144 from location Q30 if you dont have a piece for q26.
you do have 5151 at location IC14 right? if you are using 5050 you will get a code 21.
also make sure c60 is in the right direction, with the - and + symbols

well basicly what i did was move stuff over from a p28 that worked but the cn4 was messed up..i dont have anything in q26 because I thought it said it was only for the p05, alsoi took the rm11 from an auto and put it into the manual rm11 from a 1720 board..so if i dont have that q26 then vtec wont engauge..everything else works fine.. so ill try that.. hitting up radio shack to get the all the stuf for the vtec kit and just start over....
