Default Neptune, gear based boost control issues....

2.0l darton sleeved gsr, fully built etc....
t3 60-1 turbo, nuekin mani, tial 44, tial bov...

Just made the switch from chrome to neptune, and went from my manual boost controller to the aem solenoid. I have it on a switch so off will be the gate, and on is supposed to be my "hi boost", 25 psi. Off the gate the car see's about 16-18 psi. Since we made the switch the car doesn't want to "whack" boost, it seems to slowly go up. Even on the gate it seems slower and i don't see full boost until about 7k, I'm reving to 9200. I am going back to my tuner and getting my fittings back to hook the manual back up and see if we can't eliminate some issues, but I dropped the car off full boostin off the gate around vtec, which is 5200.

Has anyone else had this issue with gear based. My tuner said the solenoid is @ 100% or almost for duty cycle, and said with the switch on it should hit ALOT earlier. I am checking with him tomorrow about how the lines are ran, and see if there is another way to route them or something, b/c I need that boost back down low for slicks, and I'm confident it will bog on shifts with it like this. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks-Jason

You should be getting full boost earlier than that. If you're using the standard gear based, you may want to have him try the duty cycle vs rpm per gear and see if that helps ramp it up quicker.

From my understanding that is how it is set up, not by rpm, but with the duty cycle. He was saying it's basically @ 100% duty cycle so it SHOULD be coming in ALOT earlier. I don't know what it could be though, it's hooked up right, and there were no boost issues before re-tuning. Car runs fine with manual, so it's something with how the lines are ran, or how he has it set up in neptune. I am going to loose my mind if I miss another week @ the track!!

Any other suggestions are appreciated!!!
Thanks-Jason

The PWM setup is gear/rpm based. I usually run it like that on higher boost setups to have better control over the boost levels. Its basically maxed out from 3rd gear up at around 4000rpm. It is running 100% manifold pressure from 4K all the way to redline. But the car will see boost levels as follows.
5.2K 9.7psi
6.0K 15.5psi
6.4K 19.0psi
7.3K 22.0psi
8.0K 24.0psi

Now this is with 100% duty cycle on the solenoid from 4Krpm up. Im going to double check the push to connect lines and make sure nothing is wrong with the routing. I would also like to take the wastegate off and inspect the internals. Now with the boost solenoid hooked up but disabled the problem still persists. But Jason said it was fine with the manual boost controller. So we will try to get some testing done tonight to try and get the problem figured out to get too the track and get that infamous 10 sec timeslip.

Well confirmed it on my lunch break. Manual controller works fine, and boosts like it used to. It's alittle crazy though with 20+ psi in every gear @ just over 5200 rpms.....lol..Need that gear based back though. I'm hoping it's something stupid, like how the lines are ran on the gate, or you just hit something wrong in neptune. I'll b there shortly, and lets get r done!!
