Default Limits of the stock ECU?

2000 Integra LS for auto-x and daily driving:

turn down bolted on in place of my axle back muffler (saves ~20 lbs.) The rest of the exhaust is stock. Sounds like an aftermarket muffler.

eBay cold air intake (long tube) with OEM size piping and K&N filter (saves a few lbs.).

not a big desire to leave 87 octane (low grade) gas unless i get big low end torque gains

Is this safe and does it add power on a stock ECU? Can i adjust the timing on the distributor (w/o dyno) to "tune" my car for this? What if i have the distributor tuned on a dyno? I don't want to buy an expensive piggy back(ST class legal). BTW, i have new OEM rotor/cap/plugs and valve adjustment to the bleeding edge (.003/.006). I also reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery so it could learn my setup faster.

What i could do: turn down after the cat. and or DC 4-2-1 header for weight reduction and slight increase in power? would this require a tune, etc.? How much weight would i save going from stock to a DC header?

Feel free to elaborate beyond my particular setup...

If your planning on staying at 87 oct. Leave the ecu/distributor alone.

Increasing octane will not increase your HP. Please read grasshoppa...

ECU will be fine with the header.
