Default Ignition timing question

I have a 91 crx with a dohc zc swap and it does not have the timing belt covers, I do not have them. I can get it to mechanical TDC by pulling the plugs and using a long screw driver in cylinder 1 and manually rotating the motor to make sure everything is mechanically in time, which it is.

Now is there anyway I can use a timing light since the timing belt covers are gone and the pointers are on the cover?

Thanks

the only legit way to do it is remove the crank pulley and make sure the sprocket mark lines up to the crank case, then make sure your cams are straight while the belt is fully tensioned. at that point, you can reinstall the pulley, make a mark on the block that lines up with your pulley timing mark, then run it and calibrate the dizzy.

mechanically the timing is good. Cams are in the correct position when cylinder 1 is TDC and it all lines up. So basically I need to get it TDC again and mark on the block where it lines up with the crank pulley TDC mark. Then I can use the timing light to set ignition timing off that is what you are saying. Correct? I just want to be clear.
