Iv been searching for the past hour and a half on how to connect a data logging cable in a p28. I can not find a guide or a how to any where but then again i might not be looking in the right places. I have a extra p28 to try this on. Can anyone help?

You need more then just a usb cable.
You need the software to communicate with the ecu too.
By the time you buy the software, cable & live tuning hardware you may as well buy something that makes it a plug & play process like neptune or hondata.
