Hondata won't start my b20v tried all the maps
Starts then dies asap took the hondata to a friend's house on his b20b and runs the car.just fine
Borrowed a p28 w a mugen chipped car runs on that but knowing that's not the rite map didn't want to drive just confused when the p28 will run it but not the hondata there is a knock sensor code but I deleted it and still same **** please help maybe I'm not seeing something
Motor is a b20b the head is a gsr w type r cam
Dizzy obd2 w jumper to obd1 stock injectors w edlebrock victor intake mani type r throttle body

What color is the Hondata LED when you ignition is turned to on?
Sounds like it could be an issue with uploading the maps either due to faulty hardware, software, driver not up to date, etc. etc. Could be any number of things. Try on the Hondata forum as well, they are fairly helpful.
Well thank you the color is green and flashing really fast maybe some one has a map for me they can give me tips on what I can do I'll check the drivers too I just got it back just had v2 installed
1.) Make sure your S300 is registered
2.) Make sure drivers are up to date
3.) Erase ECU
4.) Pick a new B20 basemap from the built in selections in Smanager
5.) Upload it and see if the car will start
Well here is a update I got the p28 to run it w perfect idle, now with the p28 when underload driving it goes then bogs out and dies mostly when throttle is being accelerated what could make the car just die idles and revs great in neutral maybe some one can tell me what to look for

This is the P28 in which you have Hondata installed? What basemap are you running? Do you have a wideband o2 meter?
No the p28 is not the hondata it's just a old ecu w a mugen chipped for d series The car runs and idles on it but bogs out under load

It's a 89 honda crx with a golden eagle fuel rail
W stock 240 cc injectors type r throttle body the intake manifold is a victor x edlebrock the hondata won't even run the car but the p28 will idle and run just fine until I bring the rpms real slow then it starts breaking up
With the car on, check that all your sensors read accurate data. I recently fixed a friend's car because he wired his MAP sensor wrong (he had 2 different harnesses and he didn't care to remove the previous one), so I have this bias for MAP sensors and wiring. It was similar to the symptoms you just mentioned. He could start the car and drive on a chipped ECU, but for the life of us, we couldn't get the car started on the Hondata. When I pulled up the sensor readout on Hondata, his MAP was reading at 10.2" (or a similar value) with the car on, but not running (this value should be close to 0"). I had him take out the map sensor, put his mouth to it, and try to suck start it (heh heh) and then told him if it was a functioning sensor, it should have had a change in readings. He claimed that it was, so we went onwards to checking all his wiring. Eventually got to the end of it and now he's doing happy pulls with his Hondata.
The fastest way is to get a known working MAP sensor, attach it to the harness (but not the car), turn the car to on position (but not running), then blow/suck on the sensor, and monitor SManager for changes.
You'll find your readout if you click on sensors under Hondata.
Your issue definitely lies with the MAP sensor being wired wrong. I suspect that you don't have it wired to the ECU and you're using a spare plug sitting around somewhere. Consequently, check your TPS readout by stepping on the accelerator pedal. The plugs for TPS and MAP on the harness are very similar (if not the same). If the TPS reads out fine, you're going to need to figure out what kind of wiring harness you have, chase the wires down, and see if they ever go back to the ECU. For this step I suggest you figure out what the pinout is from the Hondata, and chase it back to see if it leads you to an unconnected plug or it actually goes to the MAP sensor. If it does not lead to an unconnected plug, you have a break in continuity and you'll have to replace the wires.
alright gents well im going to show you what I did and it worked for my d16z6 obd1 swap but now I have a different ecu it's a po6 and the wiring for the map Is right just look like something shorted because of the plug well now I have to figure out were to get a new plug and hope this is the issue w that being said I bet the map sensors are shot because of the short well ill see if this is the issue
