Default help getting 2.5 motorola map sensor to work?

I'm having one heck of a hard time getting my car running on a 2.5 bar motorola map sensor. I have a chipped p28, and a chipped p06 converted to vtec.

I can run both ecu's without jumpers/chips with a stock map sensor fine.

I can run both ecu's from a burned chip (simple unmodified basemap) with a stock map sensor just fine, although on both ecus i get a solid check engine light when running from any chip.

When i burn a chip with the 2.5 bar motorola map sensor "calibrated" on the rom i get a solid check engine light, and my car starts up and dies immediately. If i take the chip out and run a stock ecu with the 2.5 map sensor installed on my car, it starts and stays running, but barely (which makes me think i "calibrated" it wrong)

anywho, i open up my .bin in crome, go to plugins>advanced boosttools+, click ok, click next, select 2.5 motorola map sensor, select 6 boost columns, and select next. is this the correct way to tell the rom to read the 2.5 bar map sensor instead of the stock map sensor? How else would I calibrate it?

anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. any information, any experience, anything that i can try or troubleshoot. i've been working on this for nearly two full days and i'm stumped. thanks for your time.
