heat temp gauge
hey,
yesterday as I was driving for about 1 hour straight , I noticed that my heat temp gauge needle was closer to the Cold, normally it would sit right in the middle , or if its overheating it would move more twords the Hot. I didnt think of it much, and today as I was driving (while raining , so it was kinda cold) my cars neddel was jumping from Cold to the middle of the gauge , as I was paying attention more to it, I notice that when I was at a stop light , my car's neddle was almost at the Overheating part, but when Im driving the car, and not stopped, it goes back to cold... Is their a way to check if the gauge is working, or what could be the problem??

check the wire running to the 1-pin dash sensor. #13 in the pic. chances are the wire or connector has gotten cracked/broken from years of heat cycling. if the wiring is in good shape then replace #13

if neither works then repalce the thermostat, it may be sticking
