Default H23A VTEC Ignition Timing

Having a hard time finding this answer. I have a H23A vtec that I am running with a Speeduino ECU. Looking at the "stock" JDM H22A maps in Chrome shows me 26 degrees of timing at 7000 rpm and WOT, in vtec. The "Base Ignition Table" also shows that it will add another ~12 degrees of timing given that all temps (IAT and ECT) are normal. Now I know this motor was designed to run off of high octane fuel but 39 degrees of timing at full load seems like a little too much. Can anyone confirm that this amount of timing is correct?

Thanks
