Default H22 timing

This is my first Honda. Not really sure what kind of timing they usually like when it comes to boost. I just want to know a general ballpark of where it would be good to set it at to start from. I had the base timing set wrong and it was 7 degrees advanced from where it needs to be (its now at 15 degree advance). Before when it was set higher, it made 45 more whp then where it is set at now. Checked plugs and plugs still havent shown any signs of detonation so im thinking that it can at least handle 7 degrees from where its at now. Not to mention it made like 60 more ft lbs of tq with the 7 extra degrees.

Similar setups would be ideal. Like i said, not looking for a magic number, just a ballpark, i understand each car reacts differently.

My setup is an 8.5:1 H22A, billet 6262, 15psi, pump gas (93), Skunk2 turbo 1 cams, stock head, sleeved block. My tuning software is Neptune BTW.

Thanks for the help.

1. Set your distributor timing to 15 degrees while syncing the timing with the neptune software....
2. Concerning how much ignition timing to run at 15 psi I would suggest simply starting with around .90 degree of retard per psi until you get on a dyno where you can start tuning for maximum break torque. (google it)

The car is strapped down to the dyno at the moment. When setting base timing i forgot to jump the plug behind the passenger side headlight. Thats why it was off 7 degrees according to Neptune. Got that straightened out and everything started lining up.
