Icon2 GSR basemap/ CRome = Solid CEL

Alright so on crome I burn a stock basemap supporting IAB's for my brothers stock gsr. It throws a solid CEL. Tried a different map on the same chip no solid CEL. Tried same stock gsr basemap with same chip on different ECU it also throws a solid CEL. Cant seem to figure it out. Anyone have this issue before?

Sounds like it could be a bad basemap, try burning it again. Did you remember to remove the checksum routine from the map before you saved/burnt it? Also remember to add the Quick Datalogger +RTP on there as well.

Its just the basemap that Crome has on its free version. But I will try it again.

OK, You mean the base ROM file that you open in Crome just to start off with. After you open that you need to go up into the plugins menu click on Enhancements and then click on the "Remove Checksum Routine" button. Then save it/burn it to the chip.

Only if you choose the USDM ROM profile

However the P72 ROM base in Crome is USDM

Email sent! Let me know how that works for ya

Free Crome version does not have the option of choosing a Usdm or JDM rom. It only has the USDM. How do I disable full throttle launch on Crome since the Bin you sent me already has the feature.

Why do you need it disabled? It doesn't hurt anything having it on there.

If you want to disable it, put it higher than your rev limit.

Thats what I thought. My brothers car does not have the speed gear since some dummy that rebuilt it left it out. So it throws a cel for the Vss. With two step activated the car will redline at whatever rpm it is set at since two step is deactivated by speed. So ill be setting two step launch at 8500 to work as his redline.

There are a few other things that are speed actuated/calculated as well. Probably not going to work all that well until you get the VSS fixed.

Yea I understand. He was currently running on a jdm p30. Car ran like **** and no Vtec since the Vss was not installed. The cheapest route to make it perform like an actual Gsr was to get a p28 and disable Vtec speed check. Car runs smooth now with the new chipped ecu. Just had that stupid solid CEL with the Crome basemap. I havent had time to install the new chip I burned with the basemap you sent me yet. I'll be doing that tommorow ill let you know how it goes.
