Default fuel choices...

im buying a used greddy kit for a d16....the guy im gettin git from had it on a stock block with a built head he had it tuned on a p28 to run 10 pounds. he said he will include the chip for the ecu for me to use as fuel managment. but the question i have is is it gonna work for me? sine he had a build head and im gonna run the kit on a stock motor? he also ran 440 injectors which is what i would be buying. should i get a p28 get a socket put in and run that chip? or should i get the 440 and a fmu with a missing link and go that way...if the whole build and stock head wont have any affect i would go that way but im not sure....

Don't run an fmu & don't beat on the car untuned.
Properly install the turbo kit, injectors, ecu etc... & have the car professionally dyno tuned.

well i decided that i will not run an fmu....but here is the other question that i have im gonna buy a p28 ecu should i get it socketed get the 440 injectors and run the chip that he provides that is tuned for the 10 pounds with the built head or should i go to like phearable.net and get a chiped ecu from him with a base map for my setup and use that to drive on while i get money for a tune....this is my dd thats why im not going with the fmu...but if his chip would be ok for me to use i would run that and then when i got the money i would get it retuned for my specific car.

You should use a chipped obd1 vtec ecu such as a p28 & drive it to the tuner with the 440cc injectors, walbro 255 lph fuel pump. The basemap provided by him may or may not be better then the one you would get from an ecu vendor.
