Engine management upon engine start-up guidence?
Well since i am new to the boost industry I have yet to explore engine management. The setup is a 9.0:1 Compression Ls/VTEC bored to the typical 81.5mm for a fresh cylinder walls. i am running stock GSR cams for now I have 450 DSm injectors but plan to use 880cc precisions. If there are any other questions about the setup please ask, as I am asking for your help. How do you recommend starting this motor, should I swap in the stock B-series injectors and run it as a stock motor to break it in as I WILL NOT HIT BOOST or break it in on the dyno? What do you guys recommend for engine management? I have heard a lot about Neptune/Hondata etc or should I let me tuner decide when I show up for the appointment. Basically i am asking you guys to help me out so this motor lasts and does not run to lean/rich during break-in so the motor does not blow. Sorry for such a long post I just wanted to get the point across so i can get the most info about this problem. Also how should I go about getting the ECU setup i have a STOCK JDM P30 Short box and a Stock P28. What is the best Ecu to start out with? I know The s300 supports both so please let me know your opinions and once again sorry about the long post. Also tuner will be JEff Evans
Jeff can socket the ECU. I'd recommend sticking with the P28 since you could get more for the P30 if you sell it.
If you don't plan on making any changes to the tune, go NepTune. If you want to be able to make some changes, go NepTune RTP. If you need on-board logging, go s300.
