Default ECU help please :/

Hey Everyone!

I have a small problemand Im sure that 1 or a few of you might be able to help me out.

I will give you a run down of what I have and the problem.

I have a 99 EK Coupe with a B18B swap. Simple enough.

First off my car was a auto and we did the conversion to manual. After many trips back and forth to Honda everything went in. We backdated it to OBD1. Simple and works. Now the problem that I am having is that my previous set-up has/had cruise control and it worked. Now with the new set-up it doesnt work. I checked under the hood at the cruise control module and it says in bold letters AUTO CURISE CONTROL. Do I need to get a manual curise module? My current ECU is a P75 and its not allowing me to use my cruise. The cruise light on the dash works but the light in the cluster doesnt come on and the cruise doesnt engage.

Might there be someone that could give me some info on what to do?

Please and Thanks to all that help.

The cruise control unit doesn’t interact with the ECU, it's pretty much a stand alone unit that just controls an actuator that pulls in the throttle plate based on pulses coming back from the sensors on your wheels. The cruise unit with an automatic checks to ensure your transmission is in either D4, D3, or 2. A cruise unit with a manual checks to make sure your clutch pedal is depressed, where as to discontinue cruising and release the throttle plate if the clutch is pressed or transmission is shifted out of a forward drive gear, to not over rev the engine. This is the pink wire (pin 14) coming out of your cruise unit under the dash. This wire has to be grounded in order for the cruise unit to activate. The best thing would be to run this wire thru your normally closed clutch switch. The pink wire would go to one side, where the other side would go to a ground. Thus breaking the circuit and discontinuing the cruise when you depress in the pedal. The “Auto Cruise Control” on the actuator under the hood just means it’s an automatically controlled cruise, not to do with the type of transmission. The cruise unit you’re looking for is under the dash on the drivers side right above the kick panel on the left. Hope this helps!
