so trying to get my car up and running on eCtune....

built d16 with a hx35. currently on crome pro, its been on ectune before (hulog wouldn't connect then either) but laptop died and I needed to make adjustments, so back on crome it went. just got all my licenseing stuff back and eCtune up and running, but I have a small issue. I haven't been able to get it datalogging...speaking of not on crome either(well at random times it will work), I have tested other known good hulogs...so I don't know, ecu solders are clean and tested good

so in the options menu the hulog is found.

but dear lord why...why must you hate me, this is what pops up when you try to connect datalogging



and to make matters worse the car wont run, its lean, I have to hold the gas to get a reading on the wideband and to keep it running....so offsets need to be adjusted but this great thing happens, wont let me adjust anything



I cannot adjust the offsets to get it idling right till I connect the ecu aka hulog

 

70+ views and nothing?

 

I always disable UAC in windows completely... may or may not be your issue... Also are you completely up to date on your windows updates? Also try to remove completely and reinstall ectune

this is a fresh ectune install, it takes forever to gt any response from calvin to get new licenses since he quit the whole ectune thing. great program, sucks he gave up on it.


so I did tons of troubleshooting, solder joints, pulled the hu;log apart and inspected, traced wires, checked voltages, etc...

nothing....

I unassigned the ostrich and jumped back over to crome pro and sure as **** it all connects immediately. makes me think there is a ectune corruption.

so I think I will completely uninstall ectune once I get the download info sent to me, and just wait on the license....until then I will run crome pro.

 

Well that could be an issue... Just try and see.... Google how to disable UAC windows 7 ,8 etc

Just pick whatever windows version you have... UAC is user access control.

 

i'll check into it tonight. i'm guessing it will then stop asking me for permission to do stuff in that yellow pop up box

started building my crome gold rom last night and imported my tables from crome pro. need to finish it up today. see if the gold anti-lag is better than the crome free/pro low cam hack..lol...although it works and im getting 10psi it could be more efficient.
