Which Distributor to Get?
I just purchased a 95 GSR motor with no distributor and the ECU that came with it is one from a 98 GSR. Should I get the OBD1 (95) distributor or would I have to go OBD2? Or does it even matter? Thanks.
The OBD-1 and OBD-2 distributors are the same internally for the crank/cam/TDC sensors. The only difference is the Distributor plug(OBD-1 2 Connector, OBD-2 1 Connector). All you have to worry about is getting a Vtec Distributor Housing.
Also depending on the chassis and wiring harness being used could make it just a plug and play install. Since you have the OBD-2 ECU; you will need to bypass the CKF and wire in the IAB's/Knock Sensor.
This is all pretty common knowledge. If you cant figure something out there are plenty of How to write-up's.

It's going in a CX Hatch. The motor I am currently running is a JDM Vtec D15B. Since the car is already Vtec, I shouldn't have to wire the car for the GSR correct?
