Determining Data link Connector
Hello everybody,
I'm exploring the capabilities of my 2005 Honda NPS50 (PGM-FI version), as I was reading the workshop manual I saw that it's capable to connect to the HDS pocket tester. If I'm not wrong, the HDS pocket tester works with OBD2.
I'm looking for a way to datalog my sensors, I was thinking about using a standalone (i.e. SSI-4) but if I could use the OBD2 protocol I have better range of software and I could even fine-tune with a bluetooth device.
The reason I'm posting this thread is because my Data Link Connector is a little bit different than the others I saw and the dealer didn't knew much about it, below is an 4pin in 2 rows female connector:

Could this be a J1850 VPWM or an ISO9141/KWP2000 connector?? There is nothing said about this in the workshop manual, sadly.

After searching another day I was able to find this Honda-connector on a whole-sale site. (minimal order is 100 through
)

For me as a newbie, could this connector possible work?

Ok I got contact with a Honda Dealer (for motorcycles) that helped me out, its a special HDS pocket tester and is different than the car HDS pocket tester. There is no special cable or converter.
I'm thinking about using a standalone sensor device so I can still log data without buying an $2500 device!
