When you say I have to ground on the ECU, is there a spot on the pins that I can use? Or should I just ground it close to where the ECU attaches to the car?

So I was messing around with the AFR meter options in Crome and here's the menu that I have to set up. For pretty much every WB other than the PLX, they each have their own settings.

However when you select the PLX all of the tables disappear.

That would be because it's a simple preset. It will still work, you just can't adjust it.

I dont have Crome Pro so i cant advise on the post above.

As far as the wideband if your gonna use it to tune customers cars i advise you get this tuner harness
http://www.xenocron.com/obd1-tuner-h...f75cebb5d6a57a

I have it and saves me alot of time. I have the power, ground, analog ground, wideband, Narrow band all hooked up all i got to do is plug it in.

The analog ground is a must for the PLX's i have had issues with 3 of them that didnt have it hooked up. it ties into the ecu ground. I be leave D21 or D22.

I ended up grounding it to one of the bolts that hold the ECU and it seems to be working fine.

@K20EF8Dx - It would seem like anyone I tune would have to buy that harness also. Is that correct? Or does it plug in between the conversion harness and the ECU?

@HRTuning - Explain to me how Neptune and the Demon Board work. Does each car need a new board or does it follow the tuner?

I'm going to finish with Crome for the time being (especially since I just bought a Pro license) but am probably going to retune in a few months and I really do hate Crome.

I thought that you could only have certain people who were authorized tune for you? While I'm new to tuning, I think I have a good handle on how to do things and I really don't want to pay someone to tune my car when I can do it myself.

Oh snap. After thinking about it I'm guessing that I buy that harness and then just swap it on the persons car that I am tuning and then put theirs back?

If you have an RTP you can have any tuner tune NepTune for you. Each car does need it's own. If you just want to get tuned by a dealer, you'll need to see a NepTune dealer specifically to get setup on the system. Only dealers can tune the chip based NepTune system, which costs less than the RTP since there's no extra hardware involved.

yes its so you can install your wideband in other cars fast then all you do is unplug it and go on to the next.

So would I (as a tuner) buy a Demon (for my car) and the RTP package and then each customer would purchase a Demon (for their car) and then I can tune them? Or would each customer also have to buy the RTP package?

I'm far far far away from becoming a tuner but it's something I'd like to do in the future so I'd like to make sure I get things straight now.

Thanks for the help.

Each Demon needs a license. I offer multiple unit discounts, but you don't get to tune NepTune for free on any Demon since they can be purchased from multiple sources. That just makes no sense.
