Default Chipping p72 vs P75

Is the physcial aspect of chipping a honda ecu the same as long as it'a obd1 ? Meaning if I got a gsr p72 ecu would it be the same to chip it as lets say a sohc vtec p75 ecu. Assuming there both USDM

A P75 is a DOHC NON-VTEC, but the P72 and P75 are based on the same board, so yes, it would be the same to socket the two in preparation for a chip. These boards are part of their own family and differ from the Civic ECUs. More info available on PGMFI.org, especially wiki.pgmfi.org.

As HRTUNING stated, both the p75 and p72 ECU's use the '1980' type board. So, the physical aspect of socketing these two ECU's is identical.
