Chipping ? Do you know what year this is ??? Chipping is for Fox body Mustangs... there are much better solutions for your Honda/Acura platform. I suggest you get your ECU to someone who can replace your basic socketing for Hondata s300 socketing and invest in some 2021 technology... like a s300. At least then you will be able to "see" what information is running your engine, instead of taking the word of some EBay seller who made a chip "just for you".

Ive Bought All My ECU Parts From HA Motorsports Only Reason I Went With Chipped Ecu Socket Was Beacause I Already Had The Chipped ECU It Was A Gift From One Of Buddies. So It Just Be Better To Run S300?? Rather Than Chasing This Ecu?? I Believe The Year Of The Ecu Is Like 95 its A P72 A01. But I Would Love To Try To Diagnose Whats Wrong With This ECU Just Get A Better Understanding.

What tuning software and EEPROM burning hardware are you using?

Is the chip that you are inserting have the necessary ROM burnt to it?

It is really hard to diagnose a chipped ECU without knowing/seeing what components have been added.

S300 still needs a chip modified OBD1 ECU to run. You can work with what you have once you find out what the issues is with it.

Im Currently Using CROME Gold And I Have A SST 27SF512 Chip. I Use The Moates Burn2. I Looked Up Evrything On The ECU Just To Make Sure Everything Was There. And Its All Installed Correctly. I Will Have Another Reply With Pictures Of The ECU.

OK so with Crome you have to make sure that the checksum routine is removed from the .bin file. If it is not removed it will cause a CEL.

I'll take a better look at those pictures when I get home tonight. One thing I have been doing lately with these older ECU's is replacing the capacitors. I think Moates or HRTuning used to sell a capacitor replacement kit. While you have it out looking at it, might be something to look into.
