Default Bench Testing K series ECU

i am putting together a customer digital dash for my 89 accord k swap. i am running a doctronic proecuk with cab bus adapter. i am trying to setup my ecu so i can test can protocols on bench. right now i am only getting 1v across the can lines. i am sure i am missing a ground somewhere. do you know what connections i need to make on the ecu to full power so i have a full 5v can bus signal? i can see data on the laptop, so i know the ecu is on.

This is probably a better question for DocTronic directly since it’s an aftermarket ecu and not a terribly common one.

The vast majority of standalone ecus can be powered up with either of the ig power wires and either of the power ground wires connected. Occasionally one will need 12V on the ig off “memory” wire as well, but that is very uncommon.

Are you sure about you CAN measurements? A normal idle bus should sit at about 2.5V. Less than 1V normally means you are leaking to ground (shorted but with some resistance). 0V is an open line.

Dope dash display though. Keep going!
