Base map question/wideband question
Finishing up my first rebuild, 96 dc2 82mm b18c1. Everything is stock besides the bigger bore and usdm itr pistons. I have searched xenocron's archives and pgmfi.org, and have several maps I am thinking about using.
I have a friend that will hopefully be locating his missing chip burner at his house, and I have a p28 ecu.
The map I like most so far that I found is a 81.5mm ls/v with itr pistons and a gsr head/cams
Also, I was thinking about getting a o2 wideband to just monitor the ratio's under these basemaps, and possibly select the best one. Afterwards, I plan on putting it in another car with kpro. With that said, which wideband would you go with?
People's testimony's about aem's wideband here have checked that off the list, so it's between the plx dm-6 and innovate mtx-l. which would be the best for me?

I have done some research, and I understand some of the functions of these products. But with the functions capable in kpro or if I decide another b-series and actually get neptune, which is best for me? I like the new plx because it tells you the integrity of your o2 sensor, but innovate because of the additional datalogging capabilities.

This needs to be tuned, but the map you selected will be pretty close. The P28 however, does not control IABs. If your manifold has them, you need to install the IAB circuit or use a P72 ECU.
Everyone will give you different replies about which wideband to use and what to tune with, it truly doesn't matter. Basically get what you pay for. If you blindly trust my professional recommendation, invest in Neptune and an Innovate LC-1.
Read the manual in my signature for more tuning information.

I am assuming i would not have to worry because i have a different i.m. Sorry i forgot to mention that but it could have been something i overlooked
Btw i went with plx. Seemed like they were the best after heavy searching

I do agree that it needs to be tuned. But you should be able to run it on some sort of base map like the one you described.
Yeah that doesn't make sense, the AEM wideband gauge is the easiest one to install and operate. Their only downfalls are that you can't buy a new sensor from the parts store, and can't custom program the output range.
