im planning to put a new alternator belt on. all i need to do is loosen up the top adjusting bolt and slide the belt right off and put the new one on in no specific position right? and how tight does my belt need to be? thanks

 

thats all you need to do and you want your belt pretty tight so it dont fall off. get the belt as tight as you can by using a pry bar or a big wrench and then tighten it up. thats what i have always done and it has worked for me
