What is the problem? If installed and setup correctly they work great.

Don't they have synchronization issues in cold weather or something? Like just below freezing? I remembered reading that before and went a different route because I couldn't afford for my car to randomly just not start. It was quite a few years back now though.

Just save ur money and go t1 take it from me. I have damage 2 engine with it didn't realize until one day I went for a tune and the tuner told me take it because it will blow my engine and he will not tune my car with it in there. So I did think about it long and hard discuss it with my friends said the tuner could be right because that the only part i never change was the epm everything else was change to see what could have be the cause of my engine keep damaging. never could make it off the Dyno in one piece. I finally make it off the dyno to the track and back and finally focus on the other upgrades the car needs all because of that ****. So am tell u it worth saving to buy a t1 trigger and done away with it.

So you deduced that the issue with your blown motors was an AEM EPM because it was the only part you did not change? T1 trigger is great but also has positives and negatives in comparison to an AEM EPM.

So to the OP, unit works great (personal experience). Issues that have been noted by other users in the past is that the trigger disc inside the EPM had issues where timing would not stay stable. This has been resolved by AEM.
There is a post on here stating that the AEM EPM has sync issues in the cold...I have had this issue in general (All Weather) with the T1 trigger on not the AEM EPM, then again it does not get below 50 where I stay.
Another thing to Note is that the T1 trigger is only a 6 tooth crank where as the AEM EPM is a 12 tooth Crank...the idea is more resolution. The drawback to this is the EPM sensors are mounted on a bracket to read off a disc where as the T1 is mechanically mounted and reading off a cam gear (very accurate).

I used the EPM, TwinFire and CDI Pencil Coils and had one problem the Time I used it. Damn Coils popped up off the Plug few times.
I had zero issues with the EPM ever.
