I was thinking if i should be advancing the timing as much as possible right before it knocks in non boost portion to compensate the power for the low compression 7.5cr (later do the same for boost portion). And another question are if there´s is some kind of limit in timing advance at wot, or for example i can go up as high as 35 degrees or more in column 10 if still no pinging.
(NOTE: Map with advanced timing only for ilustrative purposes)
when it starts to knock, its several degrees too much. not just a hair too much. usually when it knocks its anything from 3-7 degrees too much timing.
Using 91 pump, I usually tune 30 for degrees at wot for stock compression and 26-28 for high compression setup, but my car have only 130psi piston compression and make a test going to 35 degrees at wot and still don´t have knock. (Note: im using a knock link meter, so i can detect any knock accurately)
The map looks like this with still no knock
