How do adjustable cams work? diagrams would be nice.

 

Like VTC on the K Motors or manually adjusting your cams using Adjustable Cam gears on a D, B or H series motor?

Step #1:
You loosen the nuts on the cam gears, advance or retard your cam with blind fury.

Step #2:
Make your valves best friends with pistons
