94' Body 97' Engine
Hey guys, I haven't posted in a long time. But I am having a small issue at the moment. I know this might be a redundant question asked over and over again. I have swapped a 97' OBD2 F22B1 engine into my 94' 2 Door Accord EX (had the OBD1 F22B1). The guy shifted from 4th to 1st by accident and toasted the old motor. I got the car for $300 and the motor for $300.
I kept the OBD1 harness and plugged everything up that I could. So I'm left with the Knock sensor and the Crank position sensor unplugged. So here in lies the problem. I had to put my OBD1 fuel rack and distributor on the 97' Engine. The 97' motor has no place for me to put the vacuum hose for the Air/Fuel ratio sensor. So I know I'm probably not getting the right Air/Fuel mixture. What would be the best thing I can do for this?
And if there are any other things I need to know about this Swap, I would be grateful for any other information about it. Thanks for reading my novel. Lol (^_^)

Where are the wires located that are unplugged? Coming out from the timing belt cover?
I ask because as far as I know nether the OBD1 or 2 F22B1 have a knock sensor.
I'm not sure what you are referring to as the Air/Fuel ratio meter. Do you mean the vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator. If so there are a number of vacuum ports on the end of the intake plenum (drivers side) That you can run a vacuum hose from.

You won't need a Crank Position Sensor (by the oil pump, right?) for OBD1 so don't worry about it. You don't really need the knock sensor either, if you're going to start playing around with tunable ECU ROMs (Crome, Uberdata, eCtune, NepTune, Hondata, etc.).
I would recommend getting the motor tuned (Crome, Uberdata, eCtune, NepTune, Hondata, whichever one!) it's worth it. Especially if you're going to start modifying the setup.
I'm sure there are other things that will pop up...
But this leads me to ask, what Air Fuel Ratio sensor uses a vacuum line? I can only imagine you're referring to your fuel pressure regulator, seeing as O2 sensors don't have vacuum lines.
Could you clarify please?
