8 injectors on hondata????
"The second set of injectors will engage when you hit Vtec thru the injector harness coming directly from this ECU"
Made me laugh a little.
My bet would be that they simply piggybacked the power/signal from the original injector outputs to try and sell the ecu as something special.

I figured that! But Hondata has to do something we need some 8 injector action out of the s300!
That is actually my old 8 injector ecu that was done through Raver motorsports. It uses another set of factory injector drivers that are powered via vtec solenoid on the board. When vtec is turned on, the secondary set of injectors turns on as well. It works really well actually. You just have to scale the secondary vtec fuel map to compensate for increase fuel flow from both sets. Raver motorsports did a bunch of those ecus for the edelbrock 8 injector turbo kits they were selling. Its actually really reliable since the injector drivers are OEM honda, but both sets of drivers are saturated.

Pretty decent if you have the secondary vtec fuel map scaled properly for the combined flow of the injectors. There is still a quick "rich" blip on the crossover but you cannot feel it. I would just as soon switch over to aem ems and run 8 injectors in staged control. Much more control over secondary injectors, and pretty simple to set-up. You can phase the secondary set in via load/rpm just like the main VE map.
