Icon5 Siezed crank

am doing a z6 engine rebuild and checked my clearances and they were within range. I put oil onto it (am planning on installing immediately after rebuild) and then torqued in sequence to 32 ft lb at this point the crank was still rotating. when i torqued it to the 53 ft lb the crank wouldn't rotate at all. what could cause this?

You either have a rod or main cap turned around during final installation/torque or the crankshaft is bent.
