Default Rod bearings offset? SOHC

Hey guys, I'm putting together a boosted d16y8, and I am having some trouble with rod bearings.

I bought some Skunk2 Alpha long rods (P/N 306-05-1190) and king bearings (P/N RB1956) and the bearings seem offset in the rods as if they were too wide.
I verified that the rods and bearings seem to be for the same engine, and even threw a set of used OE bearings in the rods to see if they would still be offset, and they surprisingly were.
Is there anything I'm missing with these rods/bearings? are they supposed to be offset? are the rods possibly made for different bearings?
Any input is appreciated!

The bearings are NOT supposed to be offset from each other. If you put OE stock bearings into the rod and rod cap, and they are still offset from each other... the tangs in the rod are machined incorrectly. Contact Skunk2 about getting them replaced. Good luck.

Yeah you'll need new rods, those were not properly manufactured. Hopefully Junk2 will make it right.

Are you sure you didn't put the cap on backwards? I believe the tangs are supposed to be on opposite sides not the same side.

The tangs should be on the same side... and they should face the exhaust side of the engine in the case of the "D" series engine.

Thanks for all the input guys! Just got home from work and messaged skunk 2. Hopefully they will get back to me. And yes the tangs are on the same side of the rod on a d series. And i didn't mix or match rods and caps... Probably just a bad set unfortunately.
