Default Pro 3 bseries cam question

been around doing this for awhile, but now have come across an issue that im not sure how to handle.

b16 head
stock valve size
pro 3 cams
pro gears.

pro3 cams, will not achieve ample v2v clearance no matter setting the cams the furthest apart on the gears. i know the typical 4 degrees of separation is normal on pro cam to get them close. i have never come across a set thats this tight. i swapped in another set of pro3 cams to figure out which cam the issue lie in, its local to the exhaust cam. so if i set the exhaust cam to 1 tooth advance, i am able to get proper clearance at 4 degree separated. my question is what's the likely hood this cam was broached off time and would running this cam advanced a tooth be a bad thing. there is no option to replace the cam, so ive gotta work with what's given. i think it should be fine, just wanting added opiniions.

I have pro 3's in a stock b16 head and did not have that issue. They have been degreed. You had the same issue with the second set of pro 3's? had to believe that you found two sets that have been cut wrong. Measure the valves and confirm they are stock 1mm over isnt easily noticeable

nah, the second set fell right into spec. what i do before i degree the motor is check v2v and map where i can and cant go. ive never had a set of cams not allow me to go anywhere before.

i used the second set by swapping in each cam and found out the exhaust cam was the one causing my issue on the first set.
