Pcv re routing?? h23 plug??
I know there are a million threads out there on this but I can't seem to find a solid answer
Okay so building a b18a1 with a b16a head. From my understanding a h23 older generation prelude motor has a plug in the motor that would fit into my block where the pcv could tap into same thread size.
My question is what is the part number or what is that plug called on the h23?? I can't find an answer for the life of me.
And can I just run my pcv from that plug straight to my valve cover? Why is everyone talking about catch can set ups.

I can't help you with the part question but the oil catch can is an easy one.
The breather box of Honda is insufficient. If you don't add an oil catch can, your intake will just get dirty with oil, plus the oil increases the detonation potential.
The more oil you can get out of the blow by, the less chance of detonation, the more aggressive the timing you can get away with.

Going from the block nipple to the valve cover is just connecting the same chambers together.
Read the thread (sticky?) on crankcase ventilation and work something out.
I currently have the stock black box for a baffled source with 2 10an fittings on top going to a BR Fittings catch tank. Even with my loose clearances not much goes to can. But I think I'll vent my VC also when I can cuz I don't know if this is free enuff flowing. My oil pan leaks and I suspect pressure.
Boosted tho..
