Default Overboring d16y7

Hello Honda friends,

Iam looking to build a d16y7 vitara with forced induction.

Engine got 90k miles on it.

Ive heard many go with 75.5 pistons. But some say you should not bore your engine if you go forced induction.

Anyone here that can help me decide what kit/rods to go with??

https://www.ebay.com/itm/195543721583 any thoughts of this kit??

Boring 0.5mm over is fine. You are not significantly thinning the cylinder walls, so no worries about forced induction. If you were to not bore, you are hoping the pistons you buy match your bores...they won't, and you'll get piston slap. By boring, the machine shop will size the bores to the pistons.

I'm a proponent of using forged pistons and not Vitara-spec cast pistons, so I can't help you with rods or a kit for those.

Good luck!
