If you have kept the engine bagged up, and you store it in a dry location... you should be fine. If you are concerned about some rust or damage to the bores, you can run a bore scope down into each hole and take a look... or rotate the crank pulley with a consistent pressure effort counterclockwise paying close attention to how smooth the engine rotates. You will need to remove the spark plugs to do this test so you don't build compression.

Now, creating the same thread in multiple sub-forums is poor forum behavior... so please go and delete any duplicates or ask a MOD to merge them.

Pull the plugs out so there isn’t that build up of compression and then turn it over. Seems fine to me so far I would think.

After removing the spark plugs, rotating it five or six full turns counter-clockwise and it feels smooth... I say "Send It" !!!

Ummmm... Counter-Clockwise. From below the crank pulley bolt (under the car), that would be push toward the firewall. From above the crank pulley, you would pull toward the front bumper cover.

Turn it in the direction the engine wants to turn. Top of timing belt moving towards the front of the car. Counter clockwise when looking at the pulleys.
