Default ef si head issue

I posted this on another thread but idk which one is more likely to get feedback. I'm doing a head gasket on an a6 si and I was stupid enough to think opposite rotation on the cam gear would be able to help me Crack the crank pulley bolt loose. It ended up jumping teeth. There are no signs of piston/valve contact, but now they don't all shut at TDC and when I try to manually rotate the cam gear it hits a point where it will spring forward and valves open while others shut. Just wondering what could have happened and my possible solutions. Prefeably some not so difficult diy solutions. Thank you

Did you run the motor?

Also, not all the valves will close at the same time. Only one cylinder will be completely closed.
