Can someone explain why Jay is doing this? Lube UNDER the main bearings?!

@:45 all the mains look dry, ok

@1:00 there is assembly lube on 3 and 5

Why?

He did the same thing on a more recent 2jz or rb build as well. Left me scratching my head. His stuff does hold together at seriously high power levels so...?

I learned 2 new things I didn't know. Honestly I didn't know oil went BEHIND the bearings. And 2 I didn't know anyone ever put a light coat of oil between the bearings and the block.

Not only that but the red oil he is using for the dowels and behind the bearings is clearly different than his "assembly lube". WHAT?! I'm so confused now. This is so new to me.
