Default 84mm piston question(s)?

I am going an alternate route with my build, I am now going FI. Can I use forged pistons designed for a B20? My block is a sleeved GSR 84mm. What is a good low compression 84mm piston that is forged? Thanks in advance!

Yes, Forged pistons designed for a B20 will work for your 84mm GSR. I've used Wiseco pistons on numerous FI builds with excellent results. They have been around for a very long time, are used by tons of renowned engine builders, and they cost less than their competitors.

Wiseco Part numbers for an 84mm GSR:

K545M84 = ~8.1:1 c/r
K649M84 = ~9:1 c/r <--- My personal favorite

Thanks! I'll def pick a set up. What would the higher CR net me as opposed to the lower one?

Better off throttle response between gear shifts, better acceleration rates with less boost pressure.

Don't fall for that low compression is better for boost nonsense. Nothing wrong with 10.0:1 compression for 84mm piston
