Default s2k set up for drift??

I know that the s2k is set up track ready right from the factory but is it ideal or could you also take it to the drift events?? if yes, how would it perform as oppose to the s13s n 14s?

but not on public roads where you can cause danger though.

you cant really "drift" s2000's. The s2000 has something on the steering column called electronic steer assist. Dont know how it specifically works, but i know that on the rsr s2000, and the other s2000's, in order for them to drift, they replaced the s2000 steering column with a 93+ fd rx7. I know some people on the board will argue that they can drift there s2000, but really, there probably either power sliding, or jus redlining the crap out of 1st, or 2nd gear.

Drift King, Keiichi Tsuchiya, drifting a S2000 with ease.

I'm not into drifting but it looks fun! I'm more of a track type of guy.

not as much steering angle as s13,14 and also shorter wheelbase. certainly possible just not as easy.

the eg is light, but you need a motor, a good suspension to keep up with a stock s2k,

the eg is a lot easier to drive, unlike the s2k especilly since your going from fwd to rwd.

you'll respect the s2k more than an eg, its just a nicer newer car, if you can afford go for it.

s2000 is balanced real good 49/51 weight distribution so its harder to keep it sideways.

i hate when the s2000 sits side ways. the back wheel feels so choppy and i dont think i will ever be able to drift in stock s2k.

i've seen on best motorting. they couldnt even get the stock s2k sideways.
the had to get different sway bar and different suspension set up for drifting use

the s2000 is a very hard car to drift. it has a short wheel base and almost 50/50 weight distribution. it tends to fishtale more than drift.

import tuner, or i think super street interviewed the driver of the rsr drft s2000. if u go to the website and search for it, you can find the article where they go into detail, why the s2000 cant drift. They had many d1 drivers try and drift the stock s2000 and it barely works. The solution they found was replacing the steering wheel.

hmm icz..could you set up the suspension to make it easier to drift? if so how n which suspensions? if you were to set it up for track/drift, would it upset the 50/50 weight balance?

get an alignment and request for 3/16" total toe out in the rear. That'll get you to drift.
