OMFG, Drifting has gone mainstream..
i notice it since after i left D1.
Before D1, the small drifting event was alright.
but now, i see commercials for Initial D toys from radio shack. Seeing drifting shirts all over stores ie:walmart, target, etc.
best buy selling Initial D DVD which was translate to english.
and now i see the morrning news reporting it..

I can see it now. Seeing idiots drifting streets when im just chilling at a red light.

I can't believe this non-sense...... that was BS. I like the guy talking about how highly modifed the cars are there, superchargers, turbos, as some chimney POS smoke machine goes drifting by in the backround......

actually, when he said that a 240sx, miata, and ae86 went by. drifting is an entertaining sport, my only concern is the type of idiots it may attract.

Well the fact that it was in the news is kinda interesting, but the lady in the newsroom didn't give a rats butt about it dancing to the crappy music they were playing.
They shoud've gotten some "pro" drifters out there. I'm not one of them.
The miata was hanging out pretty good though...

Mainstream or not I dont care anymore......I hate this "played out" or whatever jargon everyone calls it. We are all equals here we are all entitled to try new things and have fun.
At least they were sending out a good message..the news boradcasters aren't hardcore car enthusiasts to where they'll be accurate about everything but if they try and portray it in a positive way then more power to them.
