Default How the heck do you Drift in GT3?

Ok I went to http://www.gtplanet.net and signed up and asked them there. They send me on wild goose chases on dead threads or threads that have been deleted or are years old that contradict themselves over and over. Here is my setup.

I want to drift FF cars in GT3 I pretty much have that down pat. You steer one way then hard the other way and into a slide and then increase the angle of the drift by pressing the ebrake on and off. Ok I get that.

When I want to drift RWD cars I cant seem to keep them on the damn track. It is very frusterating when you are into a good drift and then all of a sudden for no apparent reason you loose control in random directions and spin out. Then your 500HP S13 will sit there and burn out for like 20sec when you try and get it moving again.

Is there anyone out there that can give me some clear tips on how to drift in GT3 either FF or RWD? My FF is ok, it is not nearly as bad as my RWD skills. If anyone can help me out I would appriciate it alot.

Thanks

massive oversteer if you don't know what you're doing.

You can drift on a tuned ITR by holding the e-brake while pushing the gas, but when you start you need to push the gas for a second or two then the e-brake.

its not that hard..just use the e-brake and gas..the best drifting cars i think on gt3 are the old rx7 (maxed out) and the good sprinter tureno (maxed out).

Can't drift with too much power. Remember that very first GT3 battle on H-T about 2 years ago, with the fully modded NSX-R at Laguna Seca? I had that car drifting like Bunta.

I've got FR drifting down pretty good. Setup is pretty important but driving is more important. Start with a good setup. I use a FD RX7. Setup:

Power maxed out
2 way limited slip
normal tires
full race tranny
triple clutch, carbon drive shaft, flywheel..etc
sport brakes...no brake controller

Sound like you got faint drift down a little bit. I usually drive to the middle of the track and right before i brake, steer outwards, then back in and begin braking. Let the rear begin to slide under hard braking and then get back on the throttle. Control the skid with throttle WOT seems to work best just on and off the gas.

I am bad at explaining, just practice, practice, practice.

Low torque FR's are good to learn in...ie Maxed out spoon s2000.

Oh, I know what I'm doing. I just got to remember not to mash the gas when not taking a turn, like I can do with an FF vehicle.
