Default EK9 drift car? Look inside...

Would any intelligent person on here know how to make an EK9 rear wheel drive? I saw this video on http://www.streetfire.net of hatch drifitng like the real deal 240SX. I couldnt believe it. Im going to try to add this video to this thread.

But does anyone know how this is actually done? Any ideas...?

the real deal 240sx....? wtf?! Like the 240 is the only car w/ the ability to drift.

First, you don't need to have rwd to drift if you're talented enough (and have a properly set-up car). Theres an ef who drifts for the Falken team and he's been running fwd for ages. And is adamant about encouraging it..

Second anyone with enough money and/or serious fab skills can put together a rwd civic. Its been done, do some research

LoL!

Wow, you have no clue what you're talking about.

A 240sx by FAR is not the only car with the ability to drift. Look at the US's top drift team, the falken drift team - newer (latest body style) mustang, late 60's mustang, Rx-7, 240, and they have a few others, watch any drifting event in real life, vipers, miatas, S2k's...late 80's corollas.

Basicallly any RWD w/ enough power and a manual transmission can drift...my boss's bro can do it in his vette...not sure if he can slide around a whole track like some of the pros, but I've been with him while he's done it on a lil 1.5lane (no lane) side road...

So you really have no clue what you're talking about.

As for your point about fab, agreed. With enough money or skill, making anything FWD/RWD/AWD, whatever is possible, I've seen plenty of hatches made RWD, one was on ebay with a 350 small block.

I disagree with your point about anybody with enough skill can drift FWD...

Yeah, I've seen the videos and all, but I don't hold FWD power sliding on the same level as RWD drifting..., I've seen the videos of the EK9 in Japan doing it...yeah, it's really not the same, they're not sideways, they can't hold it for as long....in my opinion it's just controlled powersliding, drifting is something different (this point has been argued back and forth for god knows how long, so I'm not going to continue on it)...

The only reason that made me post was "240's the only car with the ability to drift" - Where the expletive did that come from?

Damn...

WOW! If you read my post i SAID THIS EK DRIFTS LIKE A 240SX does. Its not controlled powersliding. The reason the 240 was mentioned is because the civic was drfiting like a RWD. Im going to post the video...

I have seen an EF that is RWD and an EG that is in the process of getting the same treatment.
For the EF he removed eveything out of the back (suspension and other crap)
And took the suspension from the front end of another EF and fabed it into the back and then created mounts for the motor.
Put a fuel cell up from and enclosed the most the hatch after the front seats.
From the outside you can't tell and from the back you BARELY see the motor though the mesh he out between the taillights (helped with motor temps a little)
Super clean work and it is the guys daily driver.
The EG is going to recieve the same treatment.

Reading comprehension &gt; you dude.

He said "Like the 240 is the only car that can drift." He was saying it ISN'T.
Honestly I've sat idly by and watch you post some stupid ****, but I'm getting sick of it. There are some things that you do know about, I'll give you credit on that. But other **** you have no idea what you are talking about and just pull things out of your ***. When you do this, you are misinforming people.

For example, in a recent roll cage/roll bar thread you said
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Assmuncher &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">So weigh it yourself. You can go rollcage, be protected against rolls, but fatal injury goes up by a good 30-60% in every other kind of accident. No roll cage, your fatal injury rate goes down 30-60% in every type of accident EXCEPT roll overs in which your fatal injury rate goes up...but not much. If I had to guestimate that number I'd say that's probably 20% or so. Reason being is it's a civic, it's a weak unibody regardless of how you slice it. Though rollovers are still less likely than other kinds of accidents.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Where the hell did those numbers come from? The sky?

Then all the talk about autocrossing, road racing, and street racing. You don't even know the the difference between Road Racing and street racing...

I know there are more, but frankly, I'm just sick of reading all of your bullshit.

Do everyone and yourself a favor and only answer questions you ABSOLUTELY know the answer too.
