i can't see the pic but its prolly my fault (my computer is poo) but u need a read wheel drive car with a good ammount of power, an lsd, a good clutch and handbrake and suspension work.
for driftu tips u may want to ceck the ae86, club 4ag, and 240 boards. there will be guys there who will be able to help u. also tru dave slidesquads page, i dunno if theres and tips but i know theres video and that always helps.
and ofcoarse, don't try to learn how to droft on the street.

yeah, if you can see the tracks from my previous drifts i was a lot farther out in the corner and i had the back end out more, in this one i started the drift a lot earlier and was almost finished at the apex

You have got to be kidding me! You post a pic of you/your car drifting on a residential street and you want pointers on how to do it better????? Actually, I wish I knew more about drifting so I could tell you the wrong way to do it, so that we could speed up Darwin's law of natural selection and get you the hell off the streets. What a fool...

Hahaha you are harsh

Take drifting to the rally course. Not on the streets.

I dont think he was worried about you hitting a house. Sure hope a little kid doesnt decide to go for a bike ride near that "safe" drifting corner.

Go use an empty parking lot.

...safe
And you are wrong.

If you want to earn some respect, see about running the Bogus Basin hillclimb (up the ski area access road) at the end of the summer. It has one of the gnarliest corners in the world of motorsport - I don't know if it is an official name but we called it the "sky turn", because you can look down on the eagles soaring in the valley. See http://www.reninet.com/~abcgates/otherhills.htm for more info.

Or find a local autocross to run. That will REALLY help you with your driving technique, if that is what you are interested in doing.

Kirk

Yeah... you're doing it on a public street.

If you insist on "drifting", please at least do it on a closed course so you don't endanger innocent people that might happen by when you're "practicing".

Can't tell much from just 1 picture. For all I know you might have spun around right after the pic was taken! Post a video or something.

Drifting is gayer than Richard Simmons.

In before the lock/delete . . .

Michael~ Any you thought I was harsh? I was just waiting for everyone else to wake up and join the fray. After everything is said and done, my comments will seem benign... :D

Plowing can also be fun, Lose the rear sway-bar and crank some +camber into the front and go for it. Much like drifting in the fact that it is not the fastest way around a corner and it only happens unintentionally in real competition. Who cares about that though because it sure looks cool!

Oh, just to stir it up even more....

****, smatzi... the bottom line is, this is the competition forum. Unless you're moving your pale *** to Japan and are preparing for a drift race there, you're in the wrong damn forum.... or didn't you even notice that this was HONDA-tech.com , not IS300-lookatmeIhavealexus.com.
