True, but being judged by a point system doesn't make it any less interesting than a timed event. Its similar to a dunk contest or ice skating...

Not to dog on you or anything, but I don't tthink anyone could possibly be as derogatory towards drifitng as just were. Come on, Dunk Contest? Ice skating?
Please, I would rather watch sychronized masturbation.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But I am sure that if you ever experienced the feeling of being in a M3 while drifting while passing other cars on a 4 lane highway, you would say otherwise.
[/flame away]
It takes more skill and ***** that you think to drift on traffic. I used to do it 15 years ago in a 190E 2.5 16V :0

I did not not mean to diss... I was just trying to think of contest/events judged by point systems that everyone knows in the US. Not meant to be a straight comparison.

No, I am not kidding. This is what we used to do in greece when I was young. Ultimate control of the car yo!!!
by four lane highway, I mean 2 lanes up, 2 lanes down with no middle barrier.
I know it was stupied, but when you are young you don;t think straight. that's waht everyone was doing back then. Sit by a big turn and watch people drift between cars in traffic.
Don't flame, I am being honest here.
Other very popular thing to do was to enter roundabouts at night with a RWD and go around a few times at a very fast pace
