im guessing its hard to fit alot of turbo manifolds and turbos into those chassis with a good radiator setup.

build whatever you want. its your car. one of the main reasons that people use 92+ chassis is because they want to use the hydraulic transmission setup. I know you can make either or work, but for less work, most prefer hydraulic setup so they use the newer chassis.

I like the EF chassis myself. Its what was popular when I got in the scene around 1992. Brings back memories I guess.

theres a few reasons 90% of people go with the EG over the EF, i'd say engine bay space is big, along with suspension choices, hydro trans is better to name a few. the EF's just dont have the engine bay space to handle some of the really large frame turbo's without a lot of cutting. i personally like the older style of the ef and the fact that you can get them for next to nothing helps but the eg beats it in the engine bay room, and parts availability.

EG= more space which means easier for the average person (fitment of products, more room to work on, hydro instead of cable trans, etc..).

Most people with no creativity will choose the easier choice (eg,ek,dc) and make other excuses to why they dont like the EF chassis.

Example:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Arturbo &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">cuz they are ugly.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'm slowly building my EF back up (got stolen and stripped)... Its more of a challenge than the other chassis, which in turn should be fun and not as boring as the eg,ek,dc chassis.

i remember your project eg. there was a white ef hatch with a turbo setup, i think they used it to test the compressor sizes on a few turbo's.. b-series i believe? then i thought there was a bit of a rough black n/a ef hatch as well. doesnt really matter, hope your project shows up in the pages though

yes hasport does make the hydro conversion. if you like the EF more than the EG go for it, thats all that matters.

yes the EG has 2.9" on the EF chassis. (98.4"-ef to 101.3"-eg)

ps DC has a wheelbase of 103.1"

so the only 2 flaws are ugly and wheelbase . i can deal with the ugly part, how much will the wheelbase affect the overall performance... is there anyone who has had a setup in an ef then swithed to eg chassis with the same setup and ran quicker times
